The Basics :
You should always right click on the link then select "Save Target As" (IE) or "Save Link As" (Netscape). Use the program Winamp to play your MP3, WMA, or OGG files.
Extensions :
If the file has any other extension than .mp3, .wma or .ogg, then the file is probably archived and the extension would be .rar or .zip.
When downloading a file with .rar extension, you should first try to it. You should find an audio file inside.
Another extension you might commonly find is the .zip extension. In that case you need to unzip the file.
If you can`t unzip or unrar the file, because it is password protected, please see the last section of the troubleshooting guide (below). If you are unable to extract .rar or .zip because of some other error, try renaming the file to .mp3.
Occasionally you may also find .wma and .ogg extensions. The latest version of Winamp should have no problems playing these.
If extension is not .rar, .zip, .mp3, .wma or .ogg, you should rename the extension to one of these and do the procedure described above when applicable. Usually it works, when renamed to .rar or .mp3. Instructions on how to rename a file are covered in the next section.
Renaming :
You can do that via Windows Explorer. Click Tools, then Folder Options. then View and then uncheck the box saying "Hide Extension For Known File Types".
Resuming :
We highly recommend the usage of GetRight or Go!Zilla. With these programs you don`t need to worry about the server time out, as they will resume the file from the byte it stopped on.
Passwords :
If the file is password protected, you should first check the "Password" field located under "Mp3 File Info" on each song`s download page. If "N/A" is listed there, that means we have no password for this song stored in our database. You will see the same sign in cases where there is no password at all, whether the file is regular mp3, or just a non protected compressed archive. In cases where the file is password protected, but there is no real password listed that could mean problems. As we only hyper link to these files and are in no way affiliated with them, we are unable to help further. In such instances, the best you can do is check our Password List and try all of the listed passwords. Usually one of these will work, but that is not always the case. Occasionally you will be stuck with a file that is impossible to extract, because none of the provided passwords will match. If that is the case, please write to us by using the Contact Form and specify the full URL to the file you have problems with. We will then manually remove the file from the database, to avoid further confusion.
